End of First term of nursing core

Next week a new term will start for the nursing core. I'll be taking pharmacology along with introduction to medical surgical. It will be an exciting term yet this is the term that will be the toughest. A lot of students either drop the courses or had fail during this term, however, I will not let this stop me from doing my best in these two courses.

Nevertheless, my first term of nursing cored ended last week and I had passed all my classes with all A's. I am super happy to know that I will be on the dean's list again. I hope to continue to being on the dean's list and graduate with honors if possible, if not I will still be happy. 

Reflecting back, I can't believe that I had passed fundamental with such ease. I am not sure if its because the materials were easy or that I had finally figure out the best way I learn things. Before going into fundamental I had thought it will difficult and that I would not pass with my ability. I guess you can say I doubted myself if I was even smart enough to be a nurse, however, I think I out did my self and pass with such ease while there were some student who struggle throughout the term and I definitely felt bad for them. I had learned a lot in fundamental and in clinical as well and I hope to continue learning all that I can. I know that the next term coming up will be rocky but I know I can overcome anything if I set my mind up to it and never doubt myself.

Ever since the diagnosis of me possibly having parotid cancer that’s may have metastasized to my cervical lymph nodes brought me much anxiety and fear. I still wanted to deny the fact that there must have been a mistake and that this is probably just a benign tumor x 2. Exhaustion

It has only been the second day of nursing classes and I am already tired and exhausted. Today I will have night class until 10 pm and then travel 20-30 minutes to get home. I am tired from staring at my textbook and the computer screen to complete my assignment. I wonder if this is the exhaustion and tiredness that nursing students commented about. I wonder if it will get worst. There is so much information to learn and I wonder if I will be able to retain everything and remember everything. It is overwhelming with much to do but little time for anything. The only break so far that I have to myself is taking time to eat other than that there is no time for me to take a glance at my phone nor watch a drama I had started. Well we will see how this weekend plays out.

New update

So it has been a while since I last update. It has been a hacked months with learning about my new diagnosis and treatment plan. After surgery, I was inform that the tumor was indeed malignant (cancer) and not just that but a rare type of cancer call lymphoepithelial carcinoma of the parotid gland. I was devastated and I felt like my whole world was turn upside down. I was hoping that the tumor was benign and I can move on with my life after the surgery. However, to my dismay I was diagnosis with cancer. I would lie if I said that I took the news with great optimistic, but it was nothing like that. For the next couple of days while I was waiting for my oncology appointment for a follow up and to go over the next step in my treatment, I felt hopeless and defeated. I felt like crying as my diagnosis eats me little by little until I felt like I have no energy left in me.
